Store owner nabbed for selling fake COVID-19 vaccination cards in Caloocan
A "sari-sari" store owner was arrested for selling fake COVID-19 vaccination cards in Caloocan City last Sunday, the city police announced Saturday, Nov. 13.

Police Col. Samuel Mina, Caloocan City police chief, identified the suspect as Benjamin Marilao, 52, a resident of Bagong Silang, Caloocan.
Mina said they immediately conducted the operation at Marilao's store at around 11:00 a.m. on Nov. 7 after receiving a report regarding the suspect's activities.
An undercover agent acted as a buyer of the fake cards which Marilao sells for P500 per piece.
Police recovered from the suspect fake vaccination cards and a computer.
Marilao will be charged with falsification of public documents.
Meanwhile, Caloocan City Mayor urged the residents to get vaccinated for their protection against the COVID-19, instead of patronizing this kind of activity.
He added that persons who will be caught forging documents will be punished.
