The "M" has come as Mannix Carancho, CEO and owner of Prestige International, launched a talent management company in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan.
Dubbed The Mannix Management, the new company is subdivided into different functions: Mannix TV, Mannix Music, and Mannix Gaming. It aims to become the number one social media management in the country.
"Ang roster of talents namin ay mostly mga sikat sa TikTok na may iba't ibang uri ng kuwento sa buhay. Masaya ako dahil makakasalamuha ko na sila at naging part na sila ng Mannix Management," Carancho said.
Carancho vowed to give exciting entertainment to all their followers soon.
"Maraming pasabog ang last quarter ng taon at hindi lang yan. Mas bonggang projects ang nakaabang sa 2022. That's why mas aabangan talaga sila ng mga fans," he added.
The new roster of talents under his management includes Nics Orense, who gained popularity on TikTok with average views of 1.3 million per upload. Currently, she has more than 10 million followers across all her social media accounts.
Joining the group is Jersey Adams, whose career on social media started when he was just 10 years old. He became a part of different boy groups until he joined social media. He was active doing dance covers, vlogs, and online game streaming on his page. Jersey has more than 5.5 million active followers on all his social media accounts.
Marie Twins - Sofia and Sabina Rondilla - are also joining the entertainment industry. They started their career on TikTok doing "kapitbahay" content. It garnered millions of views on TikTok until they created their own social media accounts. Today, they have more than 8 million followers on their social media accounts.
Others who will try their hand in showbiz are: Monica Calucin is a "Tawag Ng Tanghalan Sa Showtime" daily winner with more than 5 million followers on her social media accounts; Riri Navarro, also known as the Bangus Queen of Tiktok with 3 million followers; Justin Calucin, Rex Manalang, Steven Ocampo, RD Bongcormo, Jhan Rick Melanio, Henden Piedad, EJ Radan, Carlota San Miguel, Jade Villa, Cyvert Aquino, and CJ Rada.
For Carancho, TikTok keeps him sane and happy during the pandemic. He credits his newfound confidence to the popular video-sharing app.
“Mahiyain talaga ako. Pero noong pandemic, sinubukan ko sumayaw sa TikTok. Mula noon hindi na ako naging mahiyain,” said Carancho, who now has 6.5 million followers on TikTok, during a recent interview.
Carancho recalled: “During lockdown, naiinip talaga ako noon. Hindi ka naman makagala or makapunta out-of-town. Nagkaroon na talaga ako noon ng anxiety at depression. Then nanood ako ng mga TikTok. Sabi ko gawa kaya ako nito? Mula noon naging addict na ako sa TikTok.”
Asked how he handles bashers, Carancho said: “Hindi ko na lang pinapansin sila. Hindi ko na lang sila binabasa. Wala akong time para patulan ang mga bashers. Bahala sila.”
Helping Carancho in managing the talents is Amanda Salas.
Asked to give an advice to those who want to venture into show business, Carancho said: “Ang iba kasi sa mga talents naiinip sila. Naniniwala ako na lahat tayo ay may panahon para mag-shine so dapat huwag silang maiinip. Dapat ibigay din nila ang best nila kapag may mga projects sila. Maging focus sila sa work at dapat marunong silang makisama sa ibang tao.”
