Caloocan City gov't inaugurates Amparo Nature's Park Phase 2

Caloocan City Mayor Oscar "Oca" Malapitan led the inauguration for the Phase 2 of Amparo Nature's Park in Brgy. 179, on Friday, Nov. 12.

“Nang dahil sa pandemya, matagal na hindi nabuksan sa publiko itong Amparo Nature's Park. Kaya naman ngayong naging maluwag na ang IATF guidelines, muli nating bubuhayin ang parkeng ito na ngayon ay mas pinalawak at patuloy pa nating pinapaganda (Due to the pandemic, the Amparo Nature's Park was not opened to the public for a long time. Now that the IATF guidelines have been eased, we will revitalize this park that we already expanded, and we will continue to improve it)," Malapitan said.

Aside from the existing jogging paths, shower rooms, mini forest and garden, the Phase 2 expansion added picnic grounds, function rooms, and a swimming pool.

The local government also plans to add a boardwalk and lights, and to improve its entrance.

Aside from the inauguration, Malapitan also led the groundbreaking ceremony for the park's Phase 3 expansion.

The Amparo Natures Park was opened to the public on March 15, 2016.
