Thirdy Ravena's San-En battles Dwight Ramos, Toyama in B.League

Gilas Pilipinas teammates Thirdy Ravena and Dwight Ramos meet for the first time in this weekend’s action in Japan’s B.League.

Ramos’ Toyama Grouses host Ravena’s San-En Neophoenix Saturday, Nov. 13 to begin a two-game set at 5:05 p.m. local time (4:05 p.m. Philippine time) at the Toyama City Gymnasium.

Their second game will be held the following day at 3:05 p.m. (2:05 p.m. PH time).

Toyama and San-En are among the bottom teams in the Japanese league’s West district, and the former Ateneo players are aching to improve their fortunes.

Ramos is averaging 11.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists in eight games for the Grouses, who hold a 2-10 record after a 94-80 road victory over the Kyoto Hannaryz.

Ravena’s 11.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists hasn’t prevented the Neophoenix from overcoming their struggles as four straight defeats have brought their record down to 3-9.

The Shiga Lakestars pay a visit to the White Ring Arena to play the Shinshu Brave Warriors as Kiefer Ravena and Matthew Aquino could see action on the same B.League court for the first time.

Shinshu holds a 7-5 record going into the two matches with 6-6 Shiga on the Saturday and Sunday games which both start at 2:05 p.m. PH time.

Ray Parks Jr. and the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins visit the Mikawa Sea Horses in their own two-game affair that tips off at 2:05 p.m. PH time on both days while Kobe Paras and Niigata Albirex look to end a nine-game slide against the defending champion Chiba Jets.

Also scheduled are two games pitting Javi Gomez de Liano and the Ibaraki Robots opposite the Kawasaki Brave Thunders.
