South Korea’s Gaon Music Chart has released the rankings for the top albums and songs for the month of October 2021.
K-pop boy band Seventeen topped the month album chart (based on sales volume by shipment less returns) with their new album “Attacca” garnering 1,968,829 copies in sales volume.
ENHYPEN, another K-pop boy band under HYBE, placed second on the October monthly album chart and became a “million seller” with their first studio album “Dimension: Dilemma.”
According to Gaon Music Chart, “Dimension: Dilemma,” released on Oct. 12, recorded sales of 1,139,099 copies. ENHYPEN achieved this within a year after their debut last year. The album also debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 11, which is a new record for the group after entering the chart for the first time at No. 18 with “Border: Carnival” that was released in April.
Placing third is NCT 127’s repackaged album “Favorite,” which accumulated 626,036 copies in sales in October.
Aespa’s first mini-album “Savage” took fourth place on the monthly chart, recording 519,619 copies in sales.
Fifth is ITZY’s “Crazy in Love” which had 151,997 copies in sales for the month of October. It sold 487,607 copies to date.
