The San Juan City local government on Friday witnessed the blessing of six ambulance units it received from the Department of Health (DOH) to further boost the city’s medical emergency and COVID-19 response efforts.

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, together with his sister Atty. Bel Zamora and other city government officials attended the blessing ceremony of the six Hyundai Starex Type 1 International Standard ambulances given to the LGU.
Zamora said the ambulances will be a big help in San Juan’s COVID-19 response and medical emergency reaction.

According to him, San Juan City saw a rapid decline in COVID-19 cases due to the high vaccination rate of Metro Manila and the relentless information campaign of the LGU against fake news regarding the vaccines.
As of Nov. 9, there are only 90 active cases in the city, a huge difference from the previous high of 1,123 just last September 16.
