San Juan LGU distributes food packs for day care pupils

The San Juan City local government distributed on Friday food packs to parents and guardians of the city’s day care center pupils as it continued to reach out to the city’s children adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, together with other city government officials, gave the food packs to the parents and guardians of the pupils under the supervision of the City Social Welfare Department (CSWD).

Zamora said the food packs were intended for students during their face-to-face classes but was not distributed due to the pandemic.

The local government unit (LGU) said that each food pack contains eggs, sayote, square potato, mongo, cabbage, dried dilis, hot cake mix, pancit canton, misua, macaroni, canned tuna flakes, evaporated milk, nutripack, nutribun, rimo choco flavour, and rice.

It added that the food pack distribution is being done monthly to ensure that residents will continuously have food on their tables during the pandemic.
