PawnHero introduces new app for easier pawning

The PawnHero Pawnshop app is now available for downloading on Google Play Store and the iOS App Store. Just type and search for “PawnHero.”

With it, you can easily access the full services of a regular pawnshop without actually having to leave your home – and that includes sangla or pawning, renewal, redemption and even in-app messaging for loan support and assistance.

How does it work?

Once you get the PawnHero app on your smartphone or tablet, the step-by-step process is fairly simple and easy to follow.

First, the app asks you to fill out a loan application form, which requires your basic contact information as well as a description of your item. Once submitted, you will receive an initial offer and be prompted to book a pick-up or walk-in schedule for a physical appraisal of your item. If you opt for a pick-up, a Pawntrooper rider will come to your location free of charge and transport the item to the PawnHero Appraisal Center in BGC, Taguig for the valuation process. When this is done, a final offer will be made to you via the app and if accepted, you will instantly receive your cash via InstaPay or PESONet.

Should you decline the offer, PawnHero also arranges for the return of your item free of charge.

Depending on the length of time it takes to get your valuables physically appraised, transactions take no more than a day to complete. You can also process your renewals and redeem your pawned item via the PawnHero app.

A special in-app chat function lets you message the PawnHero loan support team - enabling you to send photos of your items, links and other information digitally for a faster and smoother transaction.

All in all, the PawnHero Pawnshop app offers a safe, secure, and discreet way of pawning - convenient especially for those times when you are short on cash and all you have on-hand are a few luxury items or gadgets which can serve as collaterals for a short-term loan.

Unlike traditional pawnshops, PawnHero accepts more than gold or jewelry. Their list of pawnable items include designer bags, luxury watches, laptops, cameras, smartphones, gaming consoles, TV sets, soundbars and speakers, and even designer accessories like belts, shoes and sunglasses.

It also offers one of the lowest interest rates in the country, going as low as 2.99% per month for loan transactions.
