Jeremy Miado wants to prove worth against strawweight's Top 5

Jeremy Miado is taking it slowly but surely as far as his strawweight run in ONE Championship is concerned.

After beating Chinese opponent Miao Li Tao in back-to-back fashion, Miado, now with Bangkok-based stable Marrok Force, already proved that his first win wasn't a fluke at all.

And he now aims to be part of the strawweight's Top 5 by taking down one opponent at a time.

"My goal is to be a better fighter, so I just develop my Brazilian jiu-jitsu and my wrestling because I know those in the top five have that weapon in them," said Miado, who holds a 10-4 record. "I want to build my name before I challenge those in the top five. The goal is to get a shot for the title.

"This is a new Jeremy. Those in my division should be wary because my level has improved and it's unlike what I had before."

That said, Miado aims to take on another Chinese rising star in Banma Douji, who recently suffered a knockout loss against Dejdramrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke.

Completing the strawweight's top list are reigning champion Joshua Pacio of Team Lakay, Yosuke Saruta (No. 1), Bokang Masunyane (No. 2), Hiroba Minowa (No. 3), Alex Silva (No .4), and Lito Adiwang of Team Lakay (No. 4).
