DARAGA, Albay — Peter Joemel Advicula alias Bikoy, known for his role in the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” video series, was arrested by police on Friday morning over the killing of three local candidates for next year’s elections in Donsol town, Sorsogon province.
Advincula was held after a municipal councilor running for vice mayor and two aspiring councilors were found dead inside an “ukay-ukay” (pre-loved clothes) store in Barangay Busay, this town.
Police identified the victims as Councilor Helen Advincula Garay, 53, a candidate for vice mayor of Donsol; and Karren dela Rosa Averilla, 44, a businesswoman, and Xavier Alim Mirasol, 61, businessman, both running for councilors of the municipality.
The three victims, all residents of Donsol, were found dead with gunshot wounds, a day after they were reported missing.
Police said that prior to discovery of the victims’ bodies, Advicula appeared at Daraga Police Station at about 7 a.m. Friday and reported that he found three dead persons at around 8:30 p.m. Thursday inside his rented establishment in Barangay Busay.
However, one Lalaine Herrera Amor, the victims’ companions, named Advincula as the man who fetched the three victims before they were found dead in the “ukay-ukay” store.
During a press conference, Lt. Col. Bogard Arao, Daraga police chief, said the three victims and Lalaine were invited by Advincula for a meeting with a coordinator of a certain politician.
Lalaine said Advincula fetched the three victims one by one from Barangay Pandan on Thursday morning.
Lalaine told police that Advincula returned to Barangay Pandan at night time without her three companions. The suspect also tried to get her, but she managed to run away and seek help at a nearby store.
Arao said Lalaine called up her husband to fetch her. They went to Camp General Simeon Ola to report and seek help from the police.
“Mula Camp Ola, iniskortan sila papunta dito (Daraga MPS) at nag-report sila na missing ‘yung tatlo,” Arao said.
The police said Advincula later appeared at the police station and reported the presence of three dead persons inside his establishment.
During the confrontation, Lalaine pointed to Advincula as the suspect in the killing of her three companions.
Arao said Advincula is now in police custody and will be charged with three counts of murder.
When asked if the suspect is related to Helen Advincula Garay, Arao said “magka-apelyido lang po sila.”
Police said the investigation is still ongoing as of press time.
Advincula was the prime character in the infamous “Ang Totoong Narcolist” video linking the family of President Duterte in the illegal drug trade. He later retracted his claim.
