Boy Abunda on Kris Aquino's engagement: 'I'm happy for her'

Boy Abunda supports the recent engagement of Kris Aquino to Mel Sarmiento.

In a report by ABS-CBN News, Boy said he's "happy" because Kris is now "happy."

“I am happy about Kris’s engagement. I am happy because she is happy. I am happy because she is in a new chapter of her life," he said.

"I am happy because what I see on social media, I don't know if I have met Mel in person, pero pareho kaming Waray. I hear nothing but good things about him and that makes me happy because I know that he is going to take care of my friend."

Boy admitted he and Kris are yet to discuss the matter but he hopes they do so in person.

"'Yung kwentuhan para mas masaya," was how he put it.
