Biñan, Laguna inoculates 1,428 minors on 1st week of pediatric vaccination

BIÑAN, Laguna – The city government has inoculated 1,428 minors on its first week of pediatric vaccination against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

On Thursday (Nov. 11), students of Biñan Science High School were vaccinated at Southwoods Mall while a separate mobile vaccination station was set up in St. Francis Integrated National High School (SFINHS).

City Health Office Disease Surveillance Officer Hans Kristian O. Lorenzana told the Manila Bulletin that 134 minors have received their first vaccine dose at Southwoods Mall while 672 got their first jabs at SFINHS as of Nov. 11.

There is also a pediatric vaccination station in the Historic Alberto Mansion – Ospital ng Biñan where 622 minors have been inoculated.

The local government unit (LGU) has been administering Moderna vaccines to minors since its pilot testing of pediatric vaccination on Nov. 5.
