VIXX's Leo denies he and EXO's Xiumin are lovers after posting intimate photo

K-pop boy VIXX member Leo denied that he and EXO member Xiumin are lovers.

Leo made the clarification after he posted an intimate photo of him and Xiumin on Instagram with their faces close to each other and Xiumin’s hand on Leo’s neck.

"Hey you! I love you," Leo wrote along with the photo.

During a Naver Live broadcast on Nov. 10 to mark his 31st birthday, Leo talked about the photo that created a buzz and denied that they are lovers.

"Xiumin is one of the three closest friends I have. We are so comfortable with each other that we often hug and sit close together. But we don't physically touch each other in weird ways,” said Leo, according to SBS News.

He added, "I just thought it was a really cute photo of us, but I realized that it could misinterpret our friendship."

Leo said he decided to delete the photo and reupload it without the “I love you” caption.

"I deleted the bit where I wrote, 'I love you.’ in the morning, because that was kind of cringey, but... He really is just a close friend of mine," he said.

During the Naver Live broadcast, Leo explained that Xiumin knows the password to their house. Xiumin performed in a musical that day and he did not. The photo was taken after three men had a glass of wine, Leo said.

Leo and Xiumin are both 31 years old and debuted in their respective boy bands in 2012.
