Piolo reveals story before stardom in new podcast 'BTWS'

Jeepney TV is giving fans a chance to discover what it was like for their favorite celebrities before they shot up to fame in its first-ever podcast “BTWS (Before They Were Stars)” starting with Piolo Pascual this Saturday (Nov. 13).

“BTWS” is a 15-minute weekly podcast led by Kapamilya host Jhai Ho that will feature celebrities who will share the highs and lows of being a rookie in the entertainment industry as well as the challenges they faced and the remarkable feats they’ve achieved since they started out as showbiz personalities.

For its premiere episode, ‘The Ultimate Heartthrob’ will talk about the difficult choice he had to make between pursuing his love for acting and living with his family abroad, the odd jobs that he did in the US, how the iconic Piolo-Juday tandem began, and the movie and TV roles that defined him.

Featuring personal anecdotes, fun accounts, and heartwarming memories, “BTWS” also aims to show how today’s brightest stars persevered to achieve success in their chosen fields and inspire listeners to go after their own dreams.

Upcoming episodes will center on the humble beginnings of Jodi Sta. Maria, Judy Ann Santos, Anne Curtis, Angelica Panganiban, and Jericho Rosales.

“BTWS,” also co-produced by the biggest podcast network in Southeast Asia Podcast Network Asia, is a welcome addition to the recently launched podcasts of five ABS-CBN Entertainment digital shows “Hotspot,” “Kapamilya Chat,” “Push Bets,” “Push Most Wanted,” and “Push Extra Scoop,” in line with ABS-CBN’s goal of expanding its services for the content needs of the Filipino digital market.
