PH, Turkey agree to work together to boost both nations' tourism, trade
The Philippines and Turkey had agreed to explore "wide prospects" to boost the respective trade and tourism sectors of the two countries.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Thursday, Nov. 11, that Philippine Ambassador to Turkey Maria Elena P. Algabre met with the Governor of Ankara Vasip Şahin on Nov. 2.
During the meeting the officials discussed forging closer cultural and economic cooperation between the two countries.
"Ambassador Algabre and Governor Şahin agreed on the wide prospects for the growth in trade and tourism between the two countries," the DFA said in a statement.
"The Ambassador cited the Philippine Embassy’s ongoing engagement with relevant Turkish business organizations and its participation in trade and tourism fairs in Turkey," it added.
Algabre also took the chance to congratulate Şahin on the 98th Anniversary of the foundation of the Republic of Turkey, noting the important role played by Ankara as the seat of the national government.
She expressed gratitude for Turkey's assistance to the Philippines for the latter’s efforts to ensure sustainable peace and development in Mindanao and thanked the governor for hosting the almost 700 Filipinos in Ankara, Turkey's cosmopolitan capital.
