Passengers arriving in the country via Philippine Airlines (PAL) now have two testing options from the flag carrier's laboratory partner.

First, they can vail of the P2,500 RT-PCR test option on testing day and check out from their hotel or facility upon release of negative test results within 24 hours.

Second, they can avail of the P4,000 RT-PCR test option on testing day, within the 12:01AM to 2:00AM period, with guaranteed release of test results by 10:00AM of the same day, so they can check out a day earlier.

The expedited second testing option ensures that testing and release from quarantine take place on the same day.

These options are available to arriving PAL passengers, whether they are eligible for RT-PCR testing on day five or on day seven of their quarantine.

Eligible for day five testing are fully-vaccinated passengers arriving from yellow countries who have shown proof of inoculation prior to flight departure to the Philippines.

Eligible for testing on day seven are unvaccinated and partially-vaccinated passengers arriving in the Philippines from green and yellow countries.

Fully-vaccinated travelers from green countries who present proof of inoculation are not required to go through hotel or facility quarantine upon arrival in the Philippines, but may quarantine at home for 14 days from date of arrival.

The Philippines' Inter Agency Task Force Technical Working Group approved PAL's testing options for international arrivals, with Nov. 12 as date of effectivity.

PAL's Department of Health-accredited laboratory partner - Detoxicare - handles COVID-19 testing under the supervision of PAL's One Stop Shop facility for travelers flying PAL to the Philippines.
