P600K marijuana seized, two suspects nabbed in Bataan drug bust

Anti-narcotics authorities seized P600,000 worth of marijuana bricks from two alleged drug pushers who were nabbed in a buy-bust operation in Mariveles, Bataan on Thursday, Nov. 11.

In a statement, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified the suspects as Challikis Katoken, 23, and Kari Briggs Gile, 23, both residents of Baguio City.

Katoken and Gile were collared after allegedly selling a marijuana brick to an undercover Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel.

During the inventory, the suspects allegedly yielded four more marijuana bricks and the marked money to authorities.

The suspects face charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The operation was conducted by the PDEA Bataan and its counterparts from Bataan police.
