In a Facebook post, the presidential aspirant said that Buendia gave her an Eraserheads 25th Anniversary Limited Edition on vinyl.

“Ely Buendia in the house!! Grabe, nabulabog opisina (the office was in a frenzy),” Robredo wrote, following it up with two party emojis.

“Thank you, Ely (praying emoticons) Nakita mo kung gaano kadami fans mo sa office namin (You saw how many fans you have in the office),” she added.

Robredo also posted two photos—one of her and Buendia and the other is a photo of the vinyl record gifted to her by the singer.

The said album was Eraserheads’ 1993 album Ultraelectromagneticpop!

In September, Buendia, perhaps in jest, told followers there will be an Eraserheads reunion “kapag tumakbo si Leni (when Leni runs).”

But when Robredo finally announced her candidacy on October 7, the singer neither confirmed nor denied the possibility of a reunion.

“I may joke about frivolous things like an old band getting back together, but I’m dead serious about our people’s future. #LetLeniLead,” he tweeted.

Eraserheads, composed of bandmates Buendia, Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala, and Marcus Adoro, made a name for themselves in the 90s with songs such as “Ang Huling El Bimbo,” “With A Smile,” “Pare Ko,” “Alapaap,” “Magasin,” “Spolarium,” and “Huwag Mo Nang Itanong.”

The group disbanded in 2002 after 13 years together.
