GSIS Citizen's Charter now accessible online

The Government Service System (GSIS) recently launched the online version of its Guide to Transactions and Processes (GTAP), the first electronic and online Citizen's Charter in the Philippine government.

The public may now access GTAP through the GSIS website. It will also soon be available in the mobile app GSIS Touch.

"Last year, GTAP was only accessible through kiosks situated in GSIS offices nationwide. Now, we made it available online to protect our members and pensioners from the virus. You can now download and install GTAP in any mobile phone to be guided in transacting with GSIS. You can also access it in our website www.gsis.gov.ph. So far, GTAP is the first of its kind in the government. We transformed our Citizen's Charter into a user-friendly and more accessible form in the process of complying with Republic Act No. 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Delivery of Government Services Act," GSIS President and General Manager Rolando Ledesma Macasaet said in a statement on Thursday, Nov. 11.

GTAP started last year as information kiosks located in the GSIS main office and branch office nationwide.

Through GSIS's charter, members can now use its touch screen feature to read the information on GSIS services; a quick guide on the step-by-step process; eligibility and requirements; and GSIS personnel accountable for each transaction.

"Through GTAP, GSIS translates its commitment to provide uninterrupted and flexible service, especially during the pandemic. COVID-19 has dramatically changed the public service delivery landscape and we have to respond accordingly by using contactless and convenient methods of serving our members and pensioners." Macasaet added.

When community quarantines were imposed across the country, GSIS immediately implemented contactless services.
