DOTr completes 233 airport projects in 5 years

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) has completed 233 airport projects since President Duterte took office in 2016.

The completed projects include Terminal 2 of the Clark International Airport, the Bohol-Panglao International Airport, the 2nd terminal of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport, the Bicol International Airport, the CNS/ATM, as well as the airport projects in Calbayog, Kalibo, Tuguegarao, Catarman and San Vicente in Palawan.

Airport projects which have been recently inaugurated include those in Butuan, Camiguin, Siquijor, Catarman, General Santos, Zamboanga, among others.

At present 84 more airport projects are ongoing, the DOTr reported Nov. 11.

Together with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, Manila International Airport Authority, and the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority, we have been unstoppable in building and rehabilitating new and existing gateways, according to the DOTr statement.
