Bustos, Bulacan begins drive-thru vaccination

Mayor Francis Albert "Iskul" G. Juan announced on Wednesday, Nov. 10, the rollout of the drive-thru vaccination in Bustos, Bulacan.

Juan thanked the Bustos Rural Health Unit (RHU) and Department of Health (DOH) for the initiative which will be available Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m..

He said those allowed at the drive-thru vaccination are 18 years old and above and residents and workers in Bustos with IDs, and in good health. They have to fill out forms, wear face masks, and follow health protocols.

Meanwhile, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) on Wednesday, Nov. 10, said the province recorded 86,843 cases 1,212 of which are active cases, 85,631 recoveries, and 1,432 deaths.

The PHO said the top five areas with the highest recorded active COVID-19 cases are the City of Meycauayan with 197; City of San Jose Del Monte -145; Sta. Maria - 162; Baliuag - 82, and San Miguel - 81.

The five municipalities that recorded the lowest COVID-19 active cases are Dona Remedios Trinidad (DRT) - 2; Balagtas - 10; Calumpit and Norzagaray - 11 each; Angat and Pandi - 13 each, and Obando 14.

Of the 1,212 COVID-19 active cases, 351 are asymptomatic, 797 are mild and moderate, 64 are severe.

In the monitoring of COVID-19 facilities and hospitals in the province, seven ICU beds and 39 COVID-19 ward beds are occupied at the Bulacan Medical Center ICU.

At the Ospital ng Lungsod San Jose Del Monte eight beds are occupied; Baliwag District Hospital - 15; Gredorio Del Pilar District Hospital in Bulakan town - 5; Calumpit District Hospital - 14; Ospital ng Guiguinto - 2; Emilio G. Perez Memorial Hospital in Hagonoy - 1; San Miguel District Hospital - 9; Rogaciano M.Mercado Memorial Hospital in Sta Maria - 16, and Bustos Community Hospital - 2. No COVID-19 patients are admitted in Norzagaray Municipal Hospital as well as in Plaridel Emergency Hospital Infirmary (Bulacan Medical Center Annex).

In private hospitals, Sacred Heart Hospital of Malolos Inc. has 11 COVID-19 beds that are occupied; Meycauayan Doctor's Hospital and Medical Center Inc. - 5; Marymount Hospital Inc. - 6; Nazarenus College and Hospital Foundation Inc.- 3; Grace General Hospital Inc. - 15; Qualimed Health Network SJDM - 15; Allied Care Experts (ACE) Medical Center Baliwag, Inc.- 18. No COVID-19 patients are admitted at Skyline Hospital and Medical Center.
