Following clamors for a break from online classes and academic requirements, Saint Louis University (SLU) declared a three-day academic break.

The student wellness break will be from Nov. 15 to 17.
Synchronous and asynchronous activities, as well as submission of academic requirements, are suspended during the academic break.
Posting of instructional materials and activities in the Google Classroom or Course group chats are likewise discouraged.
"Faculty and students shall take the opportunity to fully detach from school-related activities including meetings, faculty and student consultations, and other co-and extra-curricular undertakings," SLU said in an advisory.
Students are encouraged to "rest, reflect, enjoy your hobbies, and allot quality time for family and friends."
This, after hundreds of SLU students held a candlelight protest on Oct. 30 to appeal for an academic break.
On Oct. 30, various student councils in Baguio City also submitted a request for a city-wide academic break to Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Rep. Mark Go, and Sangguniang Kabataan Federation Levy Lloyd Orcales.
SLU is the sixth university in Baguio to implement an academic break after the Baguio State University, University of the Cordilleras, University of Baguio, University of the Philippines Baguio, and Pines City College likewise agreed to impose an academic break.
