
The Philippines recorded 2,646 more people who were infected with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Department of Health (DOH) said on Wednesday, Nov. 10.
The new figures brought the total number of confirmed cases to 2,809,311, as shown in the 4 p.m. case bulletin.
Of the total, only one percent or 29,138 are still active. Among those who are still sick, 60.8 percent have mild symptoms, 17.36 percent are in moderate condition, 10.4 percent have severe symptoms, seven percent are asymptomatic, and 4.4 percent are in critical condition.
The DOH also reported 4,029 new recoveries and 99 new deaths.
The latest figures brought the total number of recoveries to 2,735,508 and the death toll to 44,665.
"Twenty-nine duplicates were removed from the total case count. Of these, 20 are recoveries and one is a death," the DOH noted.
"Moreover, 84 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation," it added.
