President Duterte was so impressed upon seeing the new Presidential Security Group Station Hospital (PSGSH) on Wednesday, Nov. 10, that he joked it "feels good to die".

Duterte led the inauguration of the 9,000-square meter hospital located at Malacañang Park, Manila early evening Wednesday. Officials and members of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) were on hand.
"Sa ospital ninyo nakita ko, eh talagang guapo. Pag Bisaya tanungin mo, 'guapo' (I see that your hospital is really guapo. If you ask a Bisaya it's 'guapo')," he said, explaining that guapo--or "good-looking"--was a borrowed Spanish word.
"Actually it's the most beautiful hospital that I've ever seen in my life. I've been operated on in different hospitals in the span on my life, until now. Ito ang pinakamaganda na ospital (This is the most beautiful hospital)," claimed the 76-year-old leader.
"Ang sarap nang mamatay sa kagandahan (It's so beautiful, it feels good to die)," Duterte added, triggering an audible chuckle from the audience.

The Chief Executive didn't specify what his favorite feature of the PSGSH was, although he did spend a few minutes inspecting the inside of the medical facility and taking to staff beforehand.
The hospital is meant to cater to the needs of the President as well as all the PSG troopers and their dependents. The PSG is in charge of the close-in security of the President.
The PSGSH reportedly features state-of-the-art facilities including an emergency room (ER), intensive care units (ICUs), out-patient department, laboratory, dental complex, radiology/imaging area, hyperbaric oxygen treatment complex, neuro and physical services, nursing unit or ward, private rooms, and a presidential suite.
"I am pleased to join the Presidential Security Group, my fellow workers in government and all partners from the private sector as we gather for the inauguration of the PSG Station Hospital. Truly this is a proud day for all of us. Congratulations to the PSG Officials for the success of this project. I commend you and your partners for working hard to making the PSG Hospital a reality," Duterte said in his speech.
"The construction of this medical facility is admirable...especially amid the challenges of COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) pandemic. This will greatly benefit PSG personnel, their dependents, and other primary stakeholders," he noted.

He further described the hospital as a testament to the administration’s commitment to provide quality medical services to its troops.
"I encourage al PSG personnel to take advantage of the broad range of hospital services and state of the art facilities made available to you," Duterte said.
During the event, the President also witnessed the formal turnover of the book titled, "Philippine Tactical Combat Care Course Manual", published by the Philippine Center for Advanced Surgery of Trauma (PCAST).
