The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo expressed gratitude for the support the Vice President has been getting for her bid for the presidency as the number of her supporters continues to grow.

Robredo's spokesman lawyer Barry Gutierrez made the statement as her supporters abroad joined the "revolution" by wearing pink and waving pink flags to express their support for her candidacy for president.

Pink motorcades and caravans were seen being held in her name in many parts of the world, including in Hong Kong, Austria, New York, and California.

In his statement on Monday, November 1, Gutierrez said the camp of the Vice President appreciated all shows of support for Robredo.

"We are grateful and inspired by the outpouring of support for VP Leni's candidacy from Filipinos from all walks of life, both in the Philippines and overseas," he said.

"Nanawagan si VP Leni ng people's campaign, at ito ang nakikita natin ngayon. Nandito ang ating lakas. Nandito ang ating tagumpay (Vice President Robredo called for a people's campaign and this is what we're seeing now. This is where our strength and success lie)," he added.

Robredo has expressed her gratitude to the "kakampinks" abroad.

Her supporters are dubbed as "Kakampink," a play on the words "kakampi," a Filipino word that means ally, and "pink" the Vice President's campaign color.

"Nagpapasalamat po ako sa inyong suporta, na kahit nasa malayo kayong lugar, hindi niyo po nakakalimutan iyong pag-aasikaso sa bayan natin, pagmamahal sa bayan natin. Kaya thank you very much po sa inyong lahat (I am thankful for your support, even though you’re far away, you don’t forget about our country, your love for our country. That’s why I say, thank you very much to you all)," she said.

The Vice President likewise urged her supporters to put into practice their visions for a better country.
