Palace declares Nov. 12 as special non-working holiday in Valenzuela City

Malacañang declared November 12 as a special non-working holiday in Valenzuela City.

Established in 1623, Valenzuela is celebrating its 398th founding anniversary this year.

The local government announced on Tuesday, Nov. 9, that under Proclamation No.1240 signed on Nov. 3, Valenzuela residents are allowed to participate and enjoy the occasion given that health and safety protocols are observed.

Before the pandemic, Valenzuela's cityhood anniversary was celebrated through different activities such as parades, dance performances, and concerts.

In 2020, the foundation day was also declared as a special non-working holiday, with restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
