NCRPO has 890 new cops, 54 civilian employees


Almost 1,000 more people have been added to the working force of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) as part of the regular recruitment program for this year.

NCRPO director Police Maj. Gen. Vicente Danao administered the oath of 890 new police officers and 54 civilian employees, of Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP).

The 890 new recruits will be divided and be brought to two training sites particularly in Lucena and Tayabas where they will undergo the six-month basic training or the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC).

The training is designed to provide the police recruits with the basic knowledge and skills in police service, administration, combat operations and tactics.

They will then undergo another six months of compulsory training, the Public Safety Field Training Program one of the requirements for their permanency status.

Danao advised the recruits to know how to manage their time and resources especially their salary. He also encourage the police recruits to be part of his advocacy.
