“We're so excited to be bringing you the WORLD PREMIERE performance of "#BTS_Butter" in person at the @AMAs with our friend @theestallion!” according to a post by BTS’ official Twitter account.

Megan Thee Stallion also posted, “I’m so exciteddd.”

At last year’s American Music Awards, BTS performed “Dynamite” and “Life Goes On” from Seoul.

This year, BTS are nominated for the AMAs’ top honor, Artist of the Year, and Favorite Pop Duo or Group and Favorite Pop Song.

Last year, BTS won Favorite Duo or Group-Pop/Rock and Favorite Social Artist. They have won six times at AMAs.

BTS’ live performance at AMAs will come ahead of their first in-person concert in two years in Los Angeles.

They will hold the “BTS Permission to Dance on Stage-LA” on Nov. 27 and 28, and Dec. 1 and 2 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

The AMAs also announced that Olivia Rodrigo, who is nominated in seven categories, and Bad Bunny, nominated for five awards, will also perform this year.

According to AMAs, it is the world’s largest fan-voted awards show and will air on various platforms in more than 120 countries and territories.

Nominees are based on key fan interactions – as reflected on the Billboard charts – including streaming, album sales, song sales and radio airplay. These data are tracked by Billboard and MRC Data, and cover the time period Sept. 25, 2020 through Sept. 23, 2021. The winners are voted entirely by fans.
