DAVAO CITY — A total of 120,510 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech's Comirnaty vaccines arrived at the Davao International Airport Monday morning, Nov. 8.
According to the Department of Health Davao Region, the vaccines arrived via PAL commercial flight PR 1809 at 06:38 am today.
The DOH Davao said Davao Region has received a total of 5,217,674 doses of COVID-19 vaccines as of today.
On Sunday, Nov. 7, the DOH Davao Center for Health Development reported 69 new cases of COVID-19 in the region bringing the total number of active cases to 2,430.
Of the new cases, the DOH data showed that "25 are from Davao City, 17 from Davao de Oro, 20 from Davao del Norte, one from Davao del Sur, two from Davao Occidental, and four from Davao Oriental."
Davao del Norte has the highest number of active cases in the region with 721 active cases, followed by Davao City with 588 total active cases; Davao de Oro with 479 active cases; Davao del Sur with 445 active cases; Davao Occidental with 116 active cases; and Davao Oriental with 81 active cases.
The region also recorded 526 recoveries on Sunday. Meanwhile, three deaths were reported, two of which were reported late due to verification, including one case reported late in Davao City and one in Davao del Norte. The other fatality (new case) is from Davao del Norte. The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 in the region is 3,576.
