Manila Central Post Office to issue Lea Salonga stamps, postcards

Filipino Broadway star Lea Salonga on Monday, Nov. 8, announced that a stamp and postcards will soon be issued that will feature her achievements in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the first postage stamp in the country.

Salonga will be featured as one of the country's World Renowned Filipinos in its Living Legends Series.

Her stamps and postcards will be launched by the Manila Central Post Office on Nov. 13 at 9 a.m.

"Yup, this is for real! I’ve been chosen to be commemorated in a stamp and postcards to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the first postage stamp in the Philippines!" she wrote on her Instagram account.

"And I am in wonderful company! Huzzah!," she added.
