Lee Min-ho, ‘Squid Game’ stars, Youn Yuh-jung attend 2021 Art+Film Gala in LA


Korean actor Lee Min-ho and the stars and director of Netflix’s global hit Korean series “Squid Game” attended the 2021 Art+Film Gala organized by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).

LACMA hosted the 10th annual gala on Nov. 6 to honor artists Amy Sherald and Kehinde Wiley, and director Steven Spielberg.

Co-chaired by LACMA trustee Eva Chow and actor Leonardo DiCaprio, the event was attended by more than 650 guests from the art, film, fashion, and entertainment industries.

The 2021 event raised $5 million to support LACMA’s film initiatives, future exhibitions, acquisitions, and programming.

“Squid Game” cast Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo, Lee Byung-hun and Jung Ho-yeon, director Hwang Dong-hyuk, and CEO Kim Ji-yeon of Siren Pictures, the series’ production company, attended the event. Netflix’s co-CEO Ted Sarandos was also at the gala.

Lee Jung-jae arrived at the gala together with his girlfriend, Im Se-ryung, vice chairman of Daesang Group, a Korean conglomerate that is mainly into food manufacturing. Lee Jung-jae and Im Se-ryung have been in a relationship since 2015.

Jung Ho-yeon, “Squid Game” star and Louis Vuitton's Global House Ambassador, did not pose for official photos with her co-stars at the event, which was presented by Gucci.

American actress Awkwafina posed with Jung Ho-yeon and posted it on her Instagram story with the caption, “I’m freaking out yall.”

Also attending the event were Oscar best supporting actress and Korean star Youn Yuh-jung, Jung Woo-sung, Gang Dong-won and Eric Nam.

The guests hit the Art+Film Gala’s red carpet and enjoyed a cocktail reception and a DJ set by the legendary D-Nice outdoors. Guests also went to the Resnick Pavilion to see two new exhibitions, The Obama Portraits Tour featuring paintings by honorees Wiley and Sherald, as well as Black American Portraits.

After the cocktails, guests went to the Art+Film pavilion for a special dinner by chef Joachim Splichal of Patina Restaurant Group and chef Mattia Agazzi of Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura in Beverly Hills.

Tracee Ellis Ross paid tribute to honoree Sherald while Ava DuVernay gave a tribute to honoree Wiley. Guillermo del Toro presented a tribute to Spielberg and guests watched a montage of the director’s films.
