Javi Gomez de Liano finally made his debut for the Ibaraki Robots in a 90-72 road loss to Osaka Evessa Saturday, Nov. 6 in the B.League.
Gomez de Liano played 13 minutes and scored three points for the Robots, who dropped to a league-worst 1-9 record.
The former University of the Philippines product missed the first nine games of the B.League season and the recent Emperor’s Cup while waiting for clearance to play in the Land of the Rising Sun.
He entered the game with over three minutes left in the first quarter and made his first three-point attempt which put Ibaraki behind 20-15.
Marc Trasolini put up 17 points and 11 rebounds for Ibaraki in a losing effort.
DJ Newbill had 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Osaka, which now has a 4-6 slate.
