A 36-year-old man accused of raping his stepdaughter 160 times for over 10 months was finally arrested in Peñablanca, Cagayan Tuesday.
Police Regional Office 2 said operatives of Peñablanca Police Station, 1st Cagayan PMFC, and 204th Mobile Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 2 nabbed the suspect on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 4 in Tuguegarao City on Oct. 4, 2021 for the crime of rape with no bail.
The victim told police that her stepfather started sexually abusing her when she was only 13 years old while sleeping inside her room sometime in September 2019.
From there, she was repeatedly sexually molested by the suspect four times each week until June 25, 2020.
She further revealed that the suspect threatened to kill her if she would report the incident to anybody.
Accompanied by her aunt, the victim finally reported her ordeal to the personnel of the Peñablanca Police Station on July 3, 2020.
Based on police report, the victim was under the custody of the suspect when her mother worked abroad in October 2017.
After filing the complaint, the victim was advised to undergo medical examination at the Municipal Health Office.
The suspect underwent documentation at the police station prior to his turnover to the court.
