She also urged “kakampinks", the term used to refer to her supporters, to reach out to fellowmen who have been victimized by COVID-19, either because they lost loved ones or their livelihoods due to the pandemic.

“Bukas, maglalabas kami ng video. Balangkas ito ng plano para makalaya tayo sa COVID. Base ito sa pakikipag-usap natin sa mga eksperto, kasama na dito ang mga epidemiologist, mga public health consultants, mga ekonomista, at iba pa (Tomorrow, we will release a video. This is a framework of our plans to free ourselves from COVID. This is based on our meetings with experts, including epidemiologists, public health consultants, economists, and many others),” Robredo said in a video message posted on her official Facebook page.

She added that the “solutions” will be based on the actual experiences of nurses, doctors, employees, and ordinary Filipinos who were impacted by the pandemic.

Robredo was in her home region of Bicol last week to go around and talk with communities, as well as to lead the turnover of livelihood assistance to fisherfolk there.

“Malinaw sa aming pakikipag-usap na walang pinili ang pandemya. Lahat ng Pilipino, apektado (It is clear to us based on our talks that the pandemic didn’t spare anybody. All Filipinos are affected),” she said.

The lady official then asked her supporters--aside from wearing pink tomorrow, Nov. 3--to reach out to those who lost loved ones and their employment because of the pandemic.

“Ibahagi ang katotohanan: Kung may malinaw na stratehiyang nagbubukal sa malasakit, makakalaya tayo mula sa pandemya (Share the truth: That if there is a clear strategy grounded on compassion, we can free ourselves from the pandemic),” Robredo said.

“Sa mga nakasama natin sa COVID response initiatives natin, ikuwento ninyo: Hindi lang pangako ang plano natin. Napatunayan na natin ang kayang gawin ng malinis at maayos na pamamahala (To those who worked with us for our COVID response initiatives, please share: Our plans are not empty promises. We already proved what clean and good governance can do),” she added.

Robredo spearheaded several COVID-19 response initiatives in the past 18 months such as the Swab Cab, Vaccine Express, Community Mart, Community Learning Hubs, and the Bayanihan E-Konsulta, among others.

Every Wednesday, the presidential aspirant urges her supporters to wear pink and extend help to the needy to reflect the values and virtues that her campaign stands for.

While the road is still long, Robredo encouraged them to work together “without fear and apprehensions.”
