Ray Parks held to two points in B.League debut

Ray Parks Jr. finally made his B.League debut in the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins’ 98-90 home loss to the Hiroshima Dragonflies Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium in Nagoya, Japan.

Parks scored two points with three rebounds, three assists and one steal in almost 13 minutes after missing last weekend’s two road matches against the Shibuya Sun Rockers in Tokyo due to a muscle strain.

Despite Parks’ presence, Nagoya remained without a victory through three matches in the 2021-22 season.

His lone basket came with 1:12 remaining in the fourth when he scored a layup that cut Hiroshima’s deficit to 98-87.

Parks entered the contest at the 2:35 mark of the opening period and made a quick impact with a steal that led to a Yusuke Karino triple.

He was also credited with an assist following Scott Eatherton’s three a couple of possessions later which tied the count at 25-all still in the first quarter.

Nagoya tries to even the score against Hiroshima Sunday, Oct. 10 to conclude their two-game set at the same venue.

Hiroshima improved to a perfect 3-0 record with Naoto Tsuji scoring a game-high 27 points.
