P3.4-M shabu seized in Muntinlupa

Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Philippine National Police (PNP) seized last Thursday some P3.4 million worth of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in a buy-bust operation in Muntinlupa.

Authorities conducted the sting on Daang Hari Road in Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa, resulting in the arrest of suspects Bobby Cbak, 28, and Jesus Borja, 50.

The buy-bust yielded a plastic pack containing 500 grams of shabu estimated to be worth P3.4 million.

Also confiscated were one cellular phone and one Hyundai Accent.

The drugs were brought to the PDEA Laboratory Service for analysis.

The two suspects are now detained at PDEA jail facility and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The operation was conducted by personnel from PDEA NCR in coordination with Southern Police District and Muntinlupa police.

Police Major Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. of the National Capital Region Police Office lauded the successful anti-drug operation.
