MRT-3 train catches fire in Makati

In its initial statement, the MRT-3 management said the fire was reported around 9:12 p.m. and was declared out at 9:51 p.m.

No casualties and major injuries were reported as of writing, it added.

Meanwhile, the management said it is "currently exhausting all efforts to address the situation, putting into primary consideration the safety of the passengers."

"Provisional service is currently being implemented from MRT-3 North Avenue station to Shaw Boulevard station," it added.

The management is expected to release a more detailed statement soon.
