Ex-cop Elmer Jamias files COC for Manila mayor

Retired police officer Elmer Jamias filed his Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for Manila mayor in the 2022 local elections on Friday, Oct. 8.

Jamias filed his COC at the Commission on Elections (Comelec) office in Arroceros in Ermita, Manila.

"Naging maayos at tahimik naman po ang filing ng aking Certificate of Candidacy sa ilalim ng People’s Reform Party (PRP) para sa pagka mayor ng Manila (My filing of my Certificate of Candidacy went well. I will be running for Manila mayor under People’s Reform Party)," he said in a Facebook post.

He ran for vice mayor in the nation's capital in the 2019 elections but failed to win.

Jamias thanked his supporters and said: "Pasimula pa lamang po ito sa ating pag kandidatura."
