3 individuals rescued from motorboat adrift off Zambales

Three individuals have been rescued by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) after their motorboat bound for Cavite encountered engine trouble due to strong winds and big waves caused by tropical depression "Lannie."

PCG on Friday rescued Joey Lescano, 38; Jessabel Semella, 29; and Jhon Larence Reyes, 16, from their distressed motorboat at approximately five nautical miles west of Capones Island in San Antonio, Zambales.

Their motorboat drifted by the waters on October 3 after coming from Mariveles, Bataan to ferry their relatives. They were already on the way back home to Noveleta, Cavite when the mishap happened.

Their rescue ended the five-day search and rescue operations conducted by the PCG.
