Actress-television host Karla Estrada has filed her certificate of candidacy as Tingog Partylist third nominee but fans of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla (KathNiel) and ABS-CBN are not happy about it.
Witha hashtag #WithdrawKarlaEstrada that trended on Twitter on Oct. 8, hardcore supporters of KathNiel and the Kapamilya Network urged Estrada to withdraw as the third nominee of the partylist saying the group's current representative Yedda Romualdez voted to reject the renewal of ABS-CBN franchise.
On Instagram, Estrada admitted the decision to join a party-list was not an easy decision.
Estrada's full post:
"Maupay nga adlaw! Hindi ito naging madaling desisyon para sa akin at para sa aking pamilya.
"Pero dahil nandyan kayo at ang buong Tingog Party List, panatag po ako na kakayanin ko.
"Walang iwanan. Sama-sama tayo! Pag urupod kita!
"Mamshie Karla po, tubong Tacloban."
Estrada is the mother of heartthrob Daniel Padilla.
Some comments:
"When I saw that post, I already knew that it was something about politics. Haaayy Karla"
"Hindi po sign ng kahinaan ang mag withdraw. Hahanga pa ako sainyo kasi pinatunayan niyo lang na marunong kayong makinig sa hinaing ng mga nakakarami."
"If you want to help and be the voice for the people in your hometown, then this is not the only way to do this."
"Just my opinion: if buo na talaga ang desisyon ni tita karla estrada to represent the Tingog, siguro the goal is to change the view of the party list. yes it might have said yes to ABS-CBN shutdown last year but i’d like to believe in goodness."
"Malay natin baguhin nya yung party list at pangunahan nya ang abs cbn franchise Sana nga ganon."
