Abed's Evil Geniuses sweeps Kuku's T1 in clash of Filipino Dota stars

Abed “Abed” Yusop continued his fine play for the Evil Geniuses as they cruised to a 2-0 sweep over the Carlo “Kuku” Palad-led T1 in an early clash between Filipino Dota 2 stars in the Group A of the The International in Bucharest, Romania on Thursday, October 7.
Abed shone anew for the North American squad with a 12-4-5 KDA performance on his Storm Spirit in Game 1 before following it up with a solid 3-0-7 KDA showing on his Ember Spirit in Game 2.
Abed was at the forefront of the attack for EG as his team embarked to an early 7-2 lead in Game 1. T1 had some answers and even took a 3k gold lead and 12-10 kill advantage at the 24-minute mark of the game.
EG, though, slowly took control of the game from that point up until the crucial clash in the midlane at the 40-minute mark where EG took out two heroes on the side of T1. That allowed Abed and his crew to take the Roshan and end Game 1 in 45 minutes and a 23-15 tally.
Artour “Arteezy” Babaev, who also provided the clutch plays for EG, finished with 5-1-11 KDA on Troll Warlord while Daryl “iceiceice” Koh Pei Xiang provided ample support with 2-1-16 KDA on his Tidehunter
The story was almost the same in Game 2, if not a much cleaner execution for EG.
Arteezy led this time around with a neat 8-0-1 KDA on his Tiny as he conspired with Abed to take a low scoring 12-9 victory in Game 2 which only ran for 27 minutes.
Unlike in Game 1, T1 was able to take an early 4-0 advantage over EG. The Korean squad however failed to sustain the fine start as Arteezy took over in the latter part of the game. He even scored an ultrakill at the 23-minute mark to power the Game 2 victory.
EG remained spotless in two games so far but still have a game to play against Invictus Gaming to close Day 1. T1 meanwhile still have no point to show after two matches as the TI veteran Kuku failed to lead his young squad to victory on Day 1.
