TD 'Maring' continues to move 'erratically' over PH Sea
Tropical depression “Maring” continues to move erratically over the Philippine Sea east of Southern Luzon, the state weather bureau said Thursday, Oct. 7.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) estimated the center of Maring 585 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes as of 10 p.m.
It had a maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) neatr the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph, while moving east southeastward at 15 kph.
State meteorologists warned that Maring may bring light to moderate with at times heavy rains over Eastern Visayas until Friday, Oct. 8.
“No tropical cyclone wind signal is currently in effect,” PAGASA said in its 11 p.m. tropical cyclone bulletin.
It added that there is a moderate to high likelihood that wind signals will be hoisted over several provinces in Northern Luzon by late Friday or Saturday, Oct. 9.
Meanwhile, the agency said that Maring is seen to continue moving erratically.
Then, it will move north northwestward over the Philippine Sea on Saturday, northwestward on Sunday, Oct. 10, and west northwestward to westward on Monday, Oct. 11, through the end of the forecast period.
“On the forecast track, Maring may cross the Luzon Strait and pass near or over the localities in extreme Northern Luzon on Monday,” the agency said.
