A “gifted citizen” who claimed that it was already written in the Philippine constitution that she should be president of the country ----has filed her candidacy for next year’s polls.
Corina Joyce Felix said that she is destined to become the 17th president of the Philippines based on the constitution and a presidential proclamation in 1999.
“Dahil po sa kalooban ng Diyos o yung tinatawag nating ‘God’s will, ako po ay biniyayaan Niya ng karunungan. Isa po akong gifted citizen na protektado po ng Saligang Batas (Because of God’s will, He has blessed me with wisdom. I am a gifted citizen protected by the Constitution),” said Felix during her speech after she filed her certificate of candidacy on Thursday, Oct. 7.
“Inaasahan at aasahan ko po ang suporta ng mga Pilipino dahil ito po ay atas ng batas (I hope and will look forward to the support of the Filipinos because this is a mandate of the law),” she added.
If she succeed in becoming the next president, Felix vowed to improve the country’s education system.
“Kasi kailangan po matuto ng mga tao dahil ang edukasyon ang pundasyon ng bawat organisasyon para sa maunlad na nasyon o bayan (The people need to learn because education is the foundation of every organization for a nation to become developed),” said Felix.
She would also eradicate extrajudicial killings and corrupt practices in the Philippines.
“Ayun po ang kailangan natin labanan. Itama po natin ang lahat ng mali dahil ayon po ang hindi ko nakita sa nakaraang administrasyon (That is what we have to solve. Let's correct the wrongdoings because that's what I didn't see in the previous administration),” said Felix.
Felix also said that she would assert the country’s rights in the West Philippine Sea.
“Kailangan po natin ipagtanggol ang sariling atin. So gagawin po natin ang lahat para diyan (We have to defend what is ours. So we will do everything for that),” she said.
Moreover, she will actively participate in the talks about global warming.
“Kailangan po masolusyunan iyan. Ang solusyon po natin ay pagtatanim ng mga halaman, tayong lahat kailangan magtulong-tulong po tayo (That needs to be resolved. Our solution is to plant trees and we all need to help each other),” she said.
