Comelec-Pateros releases names of candidates who filed COCs

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Pateros released the names of candidates who have filed their certificates of candidacy (COCs) for the May 9, 2022 elections.

According to Armando Mallorca, Pateros election officer, as of Oct. 6, 18 candidates are running for local positions in the municipality. Candidates have until Oct. 8 to file their COCs.

Incumbent Pateros Mayor Miguel “Ike” Ponce III filed his COC for his third and last term on Oct. 6 under the Aksyon Demokratiko party of Manila Mayor and presidential bet Isko Moreno. His vice mayor is John Peter Marzan.

Sixteen candidates filed their COCs for councilors of Pateros, vying for 12 seats in the Sangguniang Bayan (Municipal Council) or six for each of the two districts.

Candidates who filed their COCs for local positions in Pateros as of Oct. 6, according to Comelec, are:

For Vice Mayor - Pateros

John Peter Marzan - Aksyon Demokratiko
