Zubiri seeks reelection to Senate

Senate Majority Leader Miguel "Migz" Zubiri filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) on Wednesday, Oct. 6, for the May 2022 polls, as he seeks another term in the Senate.

Zubiri will be running as an independent candidate.

"Lakas loob ko pong sasabihin sa inyo na hindi lugi ang taumbayan sa aking serbisyo publiko sa anim na taong ibinigay ko (I have the pride to tell you that I did not waste the public's trust in my six years in public service)," Zubiri said.

"Nagampanan ko po ang aking tungkulin nang mahusay at naipatupad ang mga pangako na gagawin ko nung tumakbo noong 2016 ay aking nagawa (I have done my job well and I have fulfilled the promises I made when I ran in 2016)," he added.

In September, COOP NATCOO Partylist expressed its support for the senator.
