Alyssa Valdez joins reality TV show Pinoy Big Brother

Alyssa Valdez takes a break from volleyball duties after she is revealed as one of the celebrity contestants for the reality TV show Pinoy Big Brother Season 10.

The show disclosed this on social media Wednesday night, with Valdez’s name immediately trending on Twitter following the revelation.

“Ang heartstrong phenom ng Batangas, Alyssa Valdez!” the post read, referring to the Ateneo Lady Eagles’ mantra and one of Valdez’s monikers.

Valdez gained fame in the collegiate ranks for Ateneo, winning multiple awards including three Season Most Valuable Player plums.

The 28-year-old San Juan native acknowledged her invitation to the popular show in a series of tweets.

The reality TV show gathers different Filipinos to live inside a house for a certain number of days.
