20 prexy aspirants midway thru COC filing

Its Day Five (Oct. 5) of the filing of the certificates of candidacy (COC) for the May 2022 polls.

Comelec/MB

So far, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said it has received 20 COCs for president, 7 for vice president, and 39 for senator.

Partylist groups that have filed their list of nominees and certificates of nomination and acceptance (CONA) totaled 48.

Below is the breakdown for other positions:

Member, House of Representatives - 125

Governor- 81

Vice Governor-81

Member, Sangguniang Panlalawigan - 782

Mayor- 1,634

Vice Mayor -1,634

Sangguniang Panlungsod- 13,258

The filing of COCs started on Oct. 1 and will run until Oct. 8.
