Richard Yap to try hand at politics anew

Second time is a charm?

Actor Richard Yap might be banking on the adage, filing his certificate of candidacy (COC) for congressman of Cebu City's First District.

According to a report, his wife filed the COC on his behalf.

Richard is currently under lock-in taping for GMA's "I Left My Heart in Sorsogon."

He first tried his hand at politics in 2019, aiming to represent Cebu's North District.

He lost to Congressman Raul del Mar.
