Gabriela partylist files CONA, vows to continue championing women's rights, welfare

The Gabriela Women's Party filed its certificate of nomination and acceptance (CONA) for the May 2022 elections on Monday, Oct 4.

Gabriela Rep. Arlene Brosas vowed to continue championing the rights and welfare of women if elected anew.

"Wala pong dahilan ang para manahimik ang mga kababaihan sa panahon ngayon kaya patuloy tayong lalahok sa eleksyon partylist (There's no reason for women to stay silent so we will continue to participate in the elections). vow to continue championing the rights and welfare of marginalized women in Congress and to strongly push for a health-based pandemic response," Brosas said.

"Tuloy-tuloy po tayong maghahatid ng serbisyo sa mga biktima ng abuso habang patuloy na isinusulong ang mga panukalang batas na magpoprotekta sa mga kababaihan at bata (We will continue to provide services to the victims of abuse while continuing to push for bills that will protect women and children)," she added.

Brosas also vowed to push for mass testing and paid pandemic leave for workers, increased benefits for health workers, and cash assistance to families affected by COVID-19 pandemic.

The partylist group won its first seat in Congress in 2004.
