EVM is UST's official mode of instruction amid the COVID-19 pandemic. It was introduced during the first term of the Academic Year 2020 to 2021.

Carried out through the University's Cloud Campus, EVM employs both synchronous and asynchronous learning strategies.

UST Rector Fr. Richard G. Ang highlighted the University's foresight to adopt e-learning even before the pandemic.

"We owe it to careful planning and being constantly forward-looking," Ang added.

"We will roll out capacity-building programs to fellow educators in the country... to share with you the lessons we learned, the practices we have adopted, and the successes we have been blessed through His unending grace," UST Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Cheryl R. Peralta said.
